Eligibility

The 2024 CYE Competition welcomes entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds, and here are the eligibility criteria:

• The competition is open to both JCI members and non-members.
  
• To ensure that your business is eligible, it should already be active for a minimum of three months.
  
• Contestants are required to provide a strong and comprehensive business plan, a compelling presentation, and the ability to articulate and discuss their business goals in a clear and numerical manner.
  
• Applications are reserved for individuals aged 18 to 40 years.
  

how to apply

Participating in the CYE Competition is a straightforward process:

• Purchase your registration, here.
• Upon registration, you will receive an online application form in English via email.
  
• Complete the online application form, providing detailed information about your business, including market analysis and strategic and financial data.
  
• Upload a one-minute pitch video in English, filmed horizontally, to introduce your project.
  
• Attach a high-quality head-and-shoulders photograph (300 dpi) for identification purposes.

Language

All application forms will only be accepted in ENGLISH since this will be the pitching language and the language of the training sessions.

Application Review

A jury of experts will carefully review all submitted applications and select contestants to participate in the preliminary round. The selection will be based on the quality of the business plan and pitch video submitted.

Training Session

During this online session, our expert judges will conduct a series of 1-hour round tables with participants to provide valuable insights and guidance.

Hybrid Event

• In-Person: If you prefer the in-person experience and want to present your idea in front of a live audience, you can do so by attending the Area Conference. Please note that in-person pitching requires a separate ticket for the World Congress, which is not included in the CYE registration fee.
• Online: Pitch your idea comfortably from your location. We will provide detailed instructions and support for virtual pitching.
  

competition breakdown

Preliminary Round

In this stage, only ten selected participants will have the opportunity to pitch their projects for one minute and thirty seconds. Following these pitches, our judges will deliberate to select six finalists who will advance to the final round. Please note that the number of finalists may be adjusted at the discretion of the jury members based on the quality of the submissions received.

Final Round

The final round features the six finalists. Each finalist will have three minutes to pitch their projects, followed by a six-minute question-and-answer session with the judges.
